Hi Gail,
I am Glenda also a lead teacher at my school. I too love my job dearly I think it was not my will to become a teacher as it was God's. I have been teaching for quite sometime, however, I have learned so much I can hardly believe. Anyhow what do you think about E.L.A. and technology. Do you think the use of technology in literacy get children to become more interested in the subject? How do you incooperate technology into literacy?
Welcome to the iTiL Social Network. You may be interested in joining the literacy group (found in the left-hand nav bar). Once there you can start a discussion on a topic of interest and invite others from your school to join you there and interact. You may also want to look at the general discussions in the forum and share just one good idea around how you’ve used tech tools to enhance instruction. I look forward to seeing you around iTiL Social Network.
NYC DOE teachers can sign up for instructional technology professional development at http://pd.nycoit.org. Click here for a catalog with a listing of classes.
