About Me:
I am passionate about seeing technology integrated into all areas of the curriculum in New York City Public Schools. I love seeing my students use technology to achieve. I used a simple Flip videocamera, a real simple one that stores 60 minutes of digital video. It has its own software built into the camera. The camera has an integrated USB plug to connect directly to a PC or Mac (no cable). When plugged in, the software (stored in memory on the Flip) automatically starts. It allows downloading, compacting for email, automatic uploads to YouTube and AOL Video, and more. Pretty neat for an inexpensive ($140 I believe) simple to use camera. And, quality is not bad.
NYC DOE teachers can sign up for instructional technology professional development at http://pd.nycoit.org. Click here for a catalog with a listing of classes.
