Thoughts on Day 1 of the NYS Assessment?
So far I've heard back from two of the schools I work with. Both felt that the tests were fair and resembled past exams -- nothing tricky. However, kids who we worked with 1:1 were still thrown by a question that required them to continue a pattern beyond what was depicted in a chart. Still not comprehending what they are being asked to do. AHHHH!
