In case you haven't seen this yet - expect it to be in NYC classrooms soon. This will transform how students (in this model, the k-3 environment) interact with content and with one another...
The SMART Table has arrived at our office. This is the 2nd one off the production line and is still a 'beta unit'. We had a chance to mess around with it all day Monday and Tuesday and it is certainly interesting and exciting. We will be putting it out on short loan periods (1 week at a time) to schools throughout the next month or two. We will spread the word with the schedule/locations so that you can drop in and interact. The potential is huge for this - it's development as a piece of hardware alongside the development of the software and content will surely enhance the way learners interact with content and each other.
Touch base with me if you are interested in learning more - for the first week or two of January it will be in our office in Farmingdale - if you want to drop in during the day or after school hours, just let me know.
Dan - email me offline here and we can coordinate a day/time for you (and others from AUSSIE) to stop in and see it if you are interested... keith@tequipment.com
